Welcome our new Standard Poodle litter and Happy Mother's Day!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day, welcoming 5 new babies. I hope all the mamas out there had a relaxing day being pampered.

We noticed early Sunday morning, Savannah was a little restless. We took her temp, and sure enough, she had already had a significant temp drop. Her temp was 98.4. We knew puppies were coming that day.

Around 4 pm, she wouldn't leave the whelping box and knew it was time. We had our first girl (red collar) at 5:11 pm and then our second girl (yellow collar) at 5:28 pm. Then, the rest of the evening turned into a waiting game as she was in NO Hurry to birth the other 3 pups. She was relaxed and sleeping. 3 hours passed, and Savannah gave us a little boy (blue collar) at 8:31 pm. The second boy (lime collar) was born at 10:38, and our last girl (peach collar) arrived at 12:45 am.

I was completely exhausted, and Savannah was a champ. She is such a good mama and easily rocked the entire birthing process.
